Born in Detroit, Michigan -

 Green Flame Tequila owner

Ron Cantrell was never

known for his love of

tequila, but he has always

 had a fascination and

 adoration for traveling to

 Mexico. Eight years ago,

on one of many incredible

trips to the beautiful

country of Mexico - an idea

 sparked. What if we made

an agave-based liquor that

you could mix with anything,

 as can be done with vodka?

 

Fast forward three years

later on a business trip to

 Guadalajara in Jalisco,

Mexico - the birthplace of

 Tequila. Ron set out to the

 hills and farmlands of

Tequila, Mexico to discover

 a distillery capable of

making his unique vision

come to fruition. After

many meetings, no distillery

 was able to envision what

 he had sought out to

create. They all told him

that it will never work.

Right before he was about

 to throw in the towel and

 give up; he met Mario and

Jesus - the owners of a

small distillery that had

 the same vision that Ron

 was dreaming of. But how

does an electrician start a

 Tequila company?

 

It took a year to figure out

 all of the rules and

regulations on both the

 American and Mexican

side. It took two more

years of determination and

 perseverance and lots of

 traveling back and forth -

 bringing countless different

 samples back to his home in

 Detroit, Michigan. With the

 help of his friends he has

 carefully selected a variety

 of delightfully flavored

agave spirits. While waiting

 for approval the COVID-19

 pandemic hit. He once again

 thought long and hard

about giving up ... but the

 passion was still there. In

 January of 2021 he finally

 received the approvals

needed to begin distribution

 of GREEN FLAME TEQUILA.
